Northside Mental Health

Services: Provides adult, child and family counseling, psychological testing, psycho-educational classes, life improvement groups, mental heath and support services, intensive case management, family intervention services, reunification services, short-term residential treatment. There are residential programs from the most restrictive to the least restrictive. Northside has two group homes, supervised apartments, satellite apartments and community apartments. These programs are for adults 18 and over who have been diagnosed with long-term mental illness and met other criteria for these programs. Services are available for those who live in catchment area zip codes.

Services: Mental health services are provided in an office environment which focuses on both crisis stabilization and the enhancement of the consumer’s level of functioning and alleviation of symptoms which interfere with functioning. Brief psychotherapeutic intervention services and long-term medication and supportive therapies are provided to adults, adolescents and children. Eligibility requirements for services include: clients must reside in the MHC catchment area, demonstrate symptomology consistent with DSM-III-R diagnosis. There are no age restrictions.

Services: Offers counseling for families, children, individuals and couples, addressing such problems as: Children’s concerns, family problems, relationships, school problems domestic violence, adult survivor of abuse, aging issues, separation/divorce, depression, anxiety and stress. Family life education programs, parenting classes, employee assistance programs (EAP) and continuous intervention programs are also available.
